All students not matriculated in a Tufts degree program taking courses for credit. Note: high school students, please click here.

Visiting Students may be able to transfer credit from Arts & Sciences and Engineering summer courses into certificate or degree programs should they choose to later enroll in a Tufts graduate program. Please click here for more information.

Limited Scholarships are available for employed teachers, members of the Tufts Community, and Tufts Alumni. See the Financial Aid page for more details. All Visiting Students should contact the Financial aid Office of their home institution to discuss financial aid options.

Workshops

Workshops are academic programs that are not offered for credit, including those offered by the School of the Museum of the Fine Arts (SMFA) Continuing Education. Tuition and Fees for any students participating in these programs can be found in this section. Courses are clearly identified as Workshops in the course list. Without this designation, courses are covered by one of the above policies.

Housing Rates

At this time, on-campus housing is available only to students 18 and older (unless you are participating in a Residential Pre-College program). Tufts offers separate housing options for Undergraduate and Graduate students. Dining Plans

Dining plans are available for purchase to all students. Students are not required to purchase a dining plan and a la carte dining is available on-campus during Summer at Tufts. Note that Pre-College Intensives and Tufts College Experience include at least some meals as a part of the program fee (see the programs for more details). Please see Tufts Dining for more information, including additional information about deposits, cancellation, refund, etc.

Health Insurance

All students residing on campus for more than 7 days or participating in a program full time for more than 3 weeks must have valid, U.S.-based health insurance while at Tufts. During the enrollment process, you will be asked to provide evidence of health insurance or to purchase a policy through Tufts.

Late Fees

Late Registration Fee

Summer Session Courses, Summer Session for High Schoolers, & Workshops: A Late Registration Fee will be added to a registration that is submitted to the university on or after the first day of the course session ($50 until the close of the Add/Drop period, $100 thereafter).

Late Payment Fee

Late Payment Fee will be applied to student balances that remain on or after the first day of the course session. This amount will be 1.5% of the balance, and will be compounded monthly.
