Course Description

This class will use the investigation of kitchen utensils as the basis for exploring the processes of forging and fabricating in steel and non-ferrous metals. Students will progress through a series of object-based exercises to build the necessary skills to forge steel spatulas, BBQ forks, ladles, spoons and knives. Level: all levels (beginner to advanced).

Notes

Any materials necessary for the first class meeting will be communicated to enrolled students by the instructor in advance. Otherwise, materials and supplies will be covered in the first class meeting.
