Undergraduates

Please contact Tufts University’s Student Financial Services Office with questions regarding financial aid for Summer.

There are a limited number of small scholarships available for summer semester courses. Priority will go to the highest need students, particularly those who are Pell grant recipients. Contact the Tufts Financial Aid office for details.

Graduate School of Arts & Sciences

Tuition waivers are available for qualified courses. Please contact your Graduate Program or Tufts University’s Student Financial Services Office with questions regarding financial aid for Summer.

School of Engineering Graduate Students

Pre-College Students

Each Pre-College program makes its own financial aid decisions. Please review the policy for your program below. Please note, international students are not eligible for financial aid at this time. Awards typically cover only a portion of the program cost, not its entirety. Families should expect to contribute to the remaining portion of the program cost as well as other expenses like travel, books, etc.

Summer Session for High Schoolers

SSHS Financial Aid Form

For high school students who demonstrate financial need, the Summer Session for High Schoolers (commuter program) can help reduce the cost of tuition by awarding financial assistance. Awards are based on need, and on a rolling basis. The application deadline is May 1, 2018. This program assistance does not cover the application fee ($65).

The program has a limited amount of assistance available for students who demonstrate financial need. To qualify, applicants must complete and submit the form above. See the application for further details and instructions.

The status of your application for financial aid will be communicated after the pre-college admissions committee has reviewed your application for admission and made its decision. Tufts College Experience

Visiting Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Students who are enrolled at other universities are not eligible for Tufts University financial aid and should contact their home financial aid office for options.

Tufts will certify the cost of attendance on documents provided by the home institution. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at your home institution for more information.


Other Discount Programs

Teachers

Tufts University provides significant summer tuition assistance for employed Teachers. Approved applicants will have their tuition for one course in each summer term reduced by 50%, for a total of two courses per summer. Restrictions apply. To apply for this tuition reduction, please fill out the Reduced Tuition Form below, and select pay by deposit when you register. After you enroll, submit the form (with supervisor verification) to Tufts Summer Session, summer@tufts.edu. Note, you will be charged full tuition initially, but when the confirmation form is received and approved, your tuition charge will be reduced.
